Australia's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade designated one person and four entities under the Autonomous Sanctions Regulations 2011 for Democratic People's Republic of Korea-related sanctions. The listed person and entities were added to DFAT's Consolidated List because the Minister assessed they were associated with the DPRK weapons of mass destruction or missiles program, or assisted DPRK violations or evasion of specified UN Security Council resolutions. The designations impose targeted financial sanctions, including offences for using or dealing with controlled assets or making assets available to designated parties without authorization. The declaration also prevents the listed person from travelling to, entering, or remaining in Australia.
