More than $35 million from the $305 million DMM Bitcoin hack was reported laundered through the Huione Guarantee marketplace in July 2024. The excerpt says Lazarus Group is suspected because of laundering similarities and off-chain indicators, but it does not claim confirmed attribution. The described laundering path moved stolen BTC through a mixer, bridged funds from Bitcoin to Ethereum or Avalanche via THORChain, Threshold, or Avalanche Bridge, swapped into USDT, bridged to Tron via SWFT, and transferred USDT to Huione. Tether blacklisted a Tron wallet tied to Huione that received about $14 million from the DMM Bitcoin hack over three days, and the author published a 538-address dataset across Bitcoin, Tron, Ethereum, Avalanche, and BSC.
