KBS reports evidence that North Korean IT workers may have participated in developing South Korean mobile applications through outsourced development channels. The article describes leaked data from a developer system, indicators suggesting a North Korean origin, and credentials or project material tied to approximately ten apps across sectors such as medical, education, and beauty services. The risk is that sanctioned DPRK IT labor can create supply-chain exposure, embed itself in trusted software development workflows, and potentially provide access that could later be abused for espionage, fraud, or hacking.
